"Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Art In Process International Symposium devoted to the nature of contemporary art and to case studies, which often are an open art process, not only pieces of art, but including elements of conceptual art, total art, or hybrid or a synthesis of art (the so-called Gesamtkunstwerk [German]), occasionally immaterial artworks, and not those orientated around a 'final object', sometimes based on the mechanical reproduction technology.

Following current conservation cases, scientific issues and legacy of the theory of conservation we would like to consider a new approaches to the care and conservation of modern and contemporary art, especially the role of multi-criteria identification and valuation in conservation project transformed into a new cultural phenomena.

At the same time we invite you to the exhibition COMING OUT: Best Degree Pieces. Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw 2015, which will present newly concluded research projects at the Faculty of Conservation and other Faculties of Warsaw’s Academy of Fine Art, including Art in Process.
